I feel greatly priviliged to be asked to curate the Art Show for The Indian Cancer Society, 57th Founder's day event.

When I asked them what exactly they do for the cancer-afflicted patients, they said they bring them "Hope and Cheer". Then I went to Rehabilitation Center in Parel and I was blown away by the actual details of their work. Patients from outside Bombay, who can not afford independent stay, are given clean, comfortable sleeping, eating and cooking facilities , including free ration. To see these young kids, so comfortable and cheerful makes you want to help this noble cause, hugely.

Taking the cue of "Hope and Cheer" , I asked 20 artists to create works in their own genre, keeping this message in mind. And they did---20 beautiful works were created given to The Indian Cancer Society for sale , so they could raise funds to expand on the great work they are doing .

Artists who have created works in different genres - abstracts, figuratives. Different medium --- canvas, paper, using acrylics , watercolours, oils . They epitomise."Hope and Cheer"

Now it is your turn . Open your hearts and wallets and buy the wonderful art which will benefit this wonderful cause.
